Over the course of the book, the man, Doctor Tyko Gabriel Glas, continues to fall more and more in love with Mrs. Helga Gregorius, but comes to a problem along the way. If he is to be with Helga, he must first kill her husband.
What was good about the book?
It’s a very suspenseful book that was written expertly. Loads of dark imagery are used, and there are even some biblical references. No parts are boring, as one scene leads swimmingly into the next.
What was challenging about the book?
Sometimes it is difficult to see things the way that the main character might because he’s a rather odd and different person.
Would you recommend the book? Why or why not?
Yes, I would recommend the book, because I rather enjoyed reading it. This book takes a whole new approach to human nature and describes said approach rather vividly. Through this book, we can learn about types of people that we never thought existed before.
