The book is about the life of Jean Sibelius. He was a very well known musician and composer in Finland during the turn of the twentieth century. It documents his upbringing and much of how his life came to influence his music.
What was good about the book?
I found that it was really long and at a lot of points very dry reading, but if you like facts and history it would be good for you.
What was challenging about the book?
There is practically no excitement in the book, it is a very boring read.
Would you recommend the book? Why or why not?
Probably not, there was not much noteworthy about the book and there are probably better books out there about the same person.

The book is about seven brothers and what they go through to finally become better people. The book plays off of major Finnish customs and ideas and is a good story although a little unrealistic. It is a little long and is drawn out a lot, but the moral of the story is good and there is excitement in the book.

Yes, but it was long.
What was challenging about the book?
The fact that it was long and some parts of the story dragged on.
Would you recommend the book? Why or why not?
Probably not, simply because there are tons of better books out there.
